Eva During (Eva Ding) is a Chinese-born, Ōtepoti-based artist currently completing her MFA at the Dunedin School of Art, following a BVA (Honours) in Sculpture and a Diploma in Ceramics. Her work is deeply rooted in the quiet tensions of migration and memory, moving between softness and weight – between what is inherited and what is chosen. Weaving personal experience with broader cultural histories, her practice explores themes of identity, tradition, gender, and belonging.
